Does anyone else have peculiar dogs like mine? They will happily eat applesauce,but give them an apple slice and they just look at it.They will also eat cooked veggies,but never raw. Most of the other dogs I have owned loved apples,and I had rough collie that would eat almost any vegetables or fruits and she lived to be 17 years old.

Maybe they like soft food? Apples and raw veggies are crunchy. They must enjoy soft like cooked and applesauce.
APPLE TREESMy dog loves it in the summer because she can pick raspberrys off our vines, she also picks cucumber from our garden and apples from the tree. They love em!

dogs have likes and dislike just like people. Its most likely the flavor of cinnamon that they like. Ive had dogs eat raw veggies with dip but not plain. Also ive had dogs eat raw apples. Ive found that they have more of a desire to eat them when in Competition with another dog lol.

certain fruits are good for them in moderation. applesauce is healthy.

Why would you want them to eat apples, or any fruit or vegetables for that matter. Dog’s are strictly carnivores and those are species inappropriate foods. I’m not surprised one bit that they won’t eat an apple. They’re smart!
APPLE TREESThe closest thing my dogs get to a fruit or vegetable is some intestines with a little digested food matter still in it, although they tend to spill that out and just ignore it.
