Welcome to Apple Trees, this site is fanatical about anything to do with apples and apple trees. Our fanaticism started when we planted our dwarf apple tree in our small back garden. Gradually, this became an obsession and to cut a long story short, we bought some land and started our own orchard.

   Aspen or Poplar.
   If you want fruit;
   Plum or Apricot.

   In NDak. Any willow does well, a weeper can smell and find your drain field a hundred yards away with great gusto and speed right up there with Aspen and suckers can dry up swampy soil. A Mature cottonwood is another one of our thirsty native beauties and as big as any oak out east. The seedless varieties have a more compact size but have more vertical silhouette. Nope, not for me, buy a female and plant her next to your willow. You will get four foot drifts of dandelion type seed. I still enjoy snow in July from four sixty footers upwind to the house 100 feet. Paulonia or Pawlonia tomentosa? and salt ceder may be illegal in some states

   Paulownia Elongata will grow about 20 to 30 feet the first year with a spread of about 20 feet. Will reach a mature height of about 60 to 70 feet. Look at on the web before you decide to plant.
   Better make sure you have a lot of room for this puppy. It should do well in your area. Keep in mind, when you put your house up for sale,
   Not every one is crazy for a tree with leaves the size of dinner plates and huge flower blooms.
   Now go drink a beer and relax.

   carolina pawlonia elongata,8 to 12 ft. per year.large leaves ,beautiful blooms ,excellent shade.A hybrid fast grower in our southern climate,you can purchase them through a tree nursery in georgia,just can’t remember the name…good luck

   Poplar, or maybe a Pin Oak. Aspen will not thrive in South Texas. If you plant near a constant water source, any tree is a fast grower.http://www.arborday.org/shopping/trees/t…

   In Maine a weeping willow will grow 40 feet in five years. The more wet the ground is the quicker it will grow.

   Not sure how sturdy it is but paulonia or pawlonia tomentosa grows very fast.
