can parakeets eat crushed or mashed apples??like if i slice a green apple in a blender and then it turns like mushy or liquidy with chunks can i give it to them?also what type of honey can i use for their food or other sticky substances like peanut butter, what else is there??and what other homemade food can i make for them?

Grated apple tends to go off quicker than it does if cut into sections. You can roughly chop apple too. I wouldnt use honey or peanut butter…not good for them.

Yes, they can eat crushed or mashed apples. But birds like to chew so cutting it into wedges would be a way better thing to do. Honey and peanut butter aren’t good for them. Too many preservatives, and peanut butter is fattening and unhealthy. What i do is i cut up a couple apples into wedges, and stick them in the cage bar. I also give my bird grapes occasionally.

minced apple is best; just mince it up and put it in a treat cup, they will love it! You can also mince up carrot and broccoli, peas and corn, most any fruit or vegetable; anything goes except seeds of fruits and avocados and Chocolate.
