How many years you have to avoid eating from the fruit tree that’s been treated with termite chemical?

The wood stake supporting the grape fruit tree has been rotten by termites, we have poured in Bayer’s Termite Concentrate, when would it be “save” to eat our grape fruit again? Thank You.

i have two plum trees next to each other, both self fertilizing, in past years i have fed them with all sorts,

but neither of the tree’s cropped very well, why is this ?, This year i didn’t feed them anything, but both tree’s have croped very heavy, why is this ?, and should i feed them now, the fruit is the size of small grapes & growing.

Should I chop up my plants and just add them back to the soil, should I compost them first and then add them to the soil? How should I best prepare my garden for next years garden in Montana?

I planted 2 two-year old plum trees about 5 years ago that have never blossomed. Can anyone give me any ideas?

There is an old plum tree near by that still bears fruit so pollination shouldn’t be the problem. There are lots of leaves and the tree looks healthy.

I would like to grow a tree that will produce fruit. I was told that planting apple seeds would not produce apples similar to the fruit. Is their any fruit tree that seeds are similar to the original? I live in New York so I would like a variety of fruit that will grow well in my area.

Depends on if it’s a dwarf, semi-dwarf or standard size tree. Dwarf trees stay the smallest (hence the name) and bear fruit sometimes in as little as 2-3 years. Semi-dwarf trees get about 1/3 to 1/2 bigger than dwarf and take longer to bear fruit. Standard trees can get pretty big and can take as long as 5-7 years to really bear fruit.
For most people, dwarf trees are easier to maintain (spray, prune and pick fruit). They also don’t take up as much room. Most varieties are available in at least 2 and sometimes all 3 types.

My tree is about 6-10 feet tall, planted about 2 years ago bought from a nursery as a 3-4 foot stick. Last year it really seemed to take off. Really branched and leafed out but obviously still a baby tree. Just wondering when we should expect to get any apples off of it?
