I would like to add chopped apples to my ambrosia salad for some crunch. Will the sour cream work to keep them from turning brown like lemon juice does? I’ve seen apples before in ambrosia, but I don’t know how it wa made.

I regularly bring sliced apples in lemon juice to work for lunch. If I mix these into yogurt, will the lemon juice curdle the yogurt and make me sick? Thanks.
