I have about 250 pits to start growing trees. They have been washed and are clean. I have them in the frig. Shoud I crack open the pit and get out the seed part? Or save the whole pit in the frig. Should they be moist? Will mold hurt them?

Some apples, like Macintosh, are only crisp when when first picked. All apples lose their crispiness in time. How can you tell if the apples in the store have lost their crispiness or not?
Is there anyway to store grated apples without them turning yellow? Like, could I put them in a bowl with water, and then strain them when they’re needed?
