i have a science project and i need a fast growing fruit or a veggie that doesn’t grow on a tree or a bush like one that grows on a vine like a tomato kind of thing also tell me how long it takes to grow

I pruned the vine last year. It has lots of vines that are growing very long and producing nice healthy looking leaves, but i haven’t seen one flower yet.

The plant has about the same thickness of a tomato plant. It blooms these really large white flowers and has a what looks like some sort of prickly fruit. Does anyone have any ideas of what kind of plant this is?
