Every year I see my fruit-bearing trees start out with lots of fruits budding from the branches, but by the time they fully ripen there’s only a few left. I now realize squirrels and other rodents keep stealing them. What are my options in keeping vermin from snatching my apples, plums and peaches?

Can someone eat an apple from the store, avoid the seeds, and then plant them in their backyard to grow apple trees? What about other fruits, like pomegranates or cherries? Also, when is the best time to start spraying and how often? I’ve had this apple tree for years that i never sprayed because i don’t like to use insecticides (never used it on my lawn either). But now i have grandkids and i want them to enjoy consummable apples from my backyard. Thanks!

No. Apple trees are deciduous and require a certain number of “chiilling” hours before they set buds for the next growing season. Tropical plants differ in they have no dormant season, they continue to grow year around.
