So many of the apples here seem not to have much flavor. Maybe it is where they come from or the type of apple. The one green apple tree that grows in my yard has pretty nice apples, but so many apples out there in the market place, just don’t seem to cut it.

I notice baking apples are smaller, and less shiny than regular apples. What is the taste/texture difference? Why are they better for baking? Thanks for all apple information!
