I have a Peach Tree in my house and I have a second one growing from another seed. Does this second tree need any kid of grafting to also have it as a fruit given tree an not just flowering.?
And at what age does it start flowering.?
What kind of branch exept for the already fruit given tree can I use? Can I use any kind of hormone to help it out and do I need ot use any special wrapping arround it.?

How would I go about teaching a kids gardening class?

I am an avid gardener and I love taking my little brothers and neighbor kids over and showing them my plants and teaching them. I have been asked by several kids and moms to do a class. How would I do that. I know I would obviously teach them how seeds grow, how to water, and take care of and harvest plants, but is there a reference site I could go to for lesson plans on gardening/seeds/plants for kids? Thanks!!

My husband and I just bought our first home and I’m very excited about planting my own flower beds and vegetable garden. I don’t want to do anything extravagent, just basic beginner stuff until i learn more. Unfortunately I’m starting from ground zero with little to no knowledge on gardening and am in desperate need of some good resources.

How do you go about finding a gardening club to join?

I am pretty new to the world of gardening, and I’d love to join a group where I can learn from fellow gardeners and get together, etc…the only problem is that I haven’t a clue as to how to go about finding such a group. I live in Scranton, PA. I’ve googled it every way I could think of and have come up empty.

Any ideas for me? Thanks.

There’s this girl I get along with great and she’s a real sweetheart. I mean, she’s very helpful to me, always smiles when she sees me, she’s very cuddly towards me and is so very caring about me as well.

One time I broke my leg and she took me to hospital and took care of me for the full months I was in plaster. And she kept my place tidy. She is also very worried about me when I work with my modeling knife on my warhammer miniatures, because I am not very handy, but her being a nurse comes in handy once in a while.

She also loves helping out in my garden, helping me harvest my considerable amount of fruit trees and loves making cakes which I can count amongst my favourites and never asks for a reward. She does everything for me, but up until recently I thought she was just being friendly. Some days ago, she sent me a text telling me she needed to see me. I told her to come over as my home is her home, and I was playing some music when she got there.

It was Creedence Clearwater Revival. My favourite band. She told me when she came in to “pretty please kill the damn noise” and I replied to her that that was Creedence and she said that it’s crap. I was getting moody but she always manages to calm me, as she did again, and then blurted out that she loved me and has done so for the past five years, hoping I’d see it soon enough but she thought it took too long thus she went for it.

I just said nothing. I mean, Creedence is a great band, how can someone not like them? I’m hesitating to answer her feelings, actually.

Or what have you learned about yourself while gardening.
They say gardening is one of the most relaxing past times. Tho it’s a lot of work.
I learn to have patience most of all out of everything. waiting for the garden to be in bloom.

My lower garden part looks bare. I like to put wildflowers in there. How do I go about it?

My lower garden part is a bare canvas. I have a 12×6 foot garden veggie , raised bed. on the opposite is a green house in progress. on the other side is a rock garden unfinished. Whats my best resource for wild flowers/ I love to attract Humming birds, butterflies… Thanks.

What do you think about replacing trees , especially before they die?

I am curious about opinions– should we plant trees prior to a tree dying so that the replacement can be much larger when the older tree comes out? Would you want this done if it were your street? WHy do we need to replant / replace trees?

Does anyone have any good info about patio peach trees?

I have transplanted a patio peach tree from its container to my yard, and it is growing very well. It is beautiful all year long. Recently, however, green offshoots with green leaves have sprouted from the bottom of the trunk and are now as tall as the trunk itself. Are these something that I need to get rid of? Or will they become more flowering branches?
