before you do anything take a piece of it and send it to your county horticulturist to determine what it is and what to do about it exactly. They might want to know what’s going on in the county, but they can give you the best information and the safest.

Here is an idea. Use a diluted bleach solution to spray on the apples. this will kill the fungus. When it rains the next time the bleach should be gone enough to not have to worry about poisoning you. Another option would be to go to your nursery and purchase a fungicide and spray on the apples. Anyway you will get the same results.

Just boil up a large amount of daisys in water,leave to cool with a cover on it ,then spray the tree with it.
