apple trees
Welcome to Apple Trees, this site is fanatical about anything to do with apples and apple trees. Our fanaticism started when we planted our dwarf apple tree in our small back garden. Gradually, this became an obsession and to cut a long story short, we bought some land and started our own orchard.

To say our apple trees are our passion would be an understatement. We will be gradually adding lots of photos and apple trees articles, including growing apple tree guides, guide on dwarf apples trees, apple recipes, apple tree growing and much more!

You will be able to buy apple trees here also! Apple trees for sale around the UK will be listed, as will review guides and how to buy apple trees.

Try putting Hydrogen Peroxide on it first. Fungus and bacteria of every kind shudder when they see Hydrogen Peroxide coming. Hydrogen Peroxide is found everywhere in nature (particularly rain water) and our cells actually produce it as our first line of defense against bacteria, viruses and fungus. It is simply water (H20) with one additional Oxygen Atom (H202). It only cost $1.00 a bottle, of course, and like every household, you probably already have the little brown bottle in your medicine cabinet already. So, you could pour some on your tree branch and watch that extra Oxygen Atom bubble that fungus away. Treat it a couple of times if you have too. Try pouring some on the branch, or maybe soak a cloth with the Hydrogen Peroxide and rub the tree branch with it. I bet it works.

Not until you have identified it.
It could be a “chicken of the woods” a choice edible wild mushroom – if so lucky you.
One of it’s prefered trees is Apple
I did find you a good site to identify it – but when I tried to back check it the Yahoo browser told me access to the site was forbidden! – lord knows why, as it was just a fungi identification site – unless the browser is just playing up.
    Anyway – search “Laetiporus sulphureus”
and it will take you to loads of sites, some of which will also give you recipes

If it’s a lichen it’s not likely to be a problem. If it’s big and fleshy like a toadstool you may want to pull it off, but it might be growing there because there is some rotting wood for it to feed on. I probably would do nothing about it.
