I made some candy apples as favors for my shower. I placed a few in individual bags, but got interrupted. When I returned a couple hours later the remaining apples had become sticky, bubbly, and appeared to be melting. I can’t even get them in the bag. I thought my air-conditioned house would be a cool dry place, but it’s not working. The shower is just just two days away and my schedule is tight. Is there any way I can save these apples? How can I get them dry and cool so that they aren’t sticky and melting?
