Has any one grown the self polinationg cherry bushes called sand cherry in NY State? How many years before they fruit? Are they as easy to clone as Rose of Sharon Bushes? Please reply. Thanks.

I have quite the cantaloupe patch growing, with several fruits however, I have noticed a small fruit start and then die very close to each larger establishes fruit. I think the larger fruit is killing the smaller ones.
